For the first time in more than a century, an Italian sparkling wine is the official toast for Formula 1 events.
And now that winery, Ferrari Trento, is celebrating four of the most iconic Grands Prix of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in four individual limited edition bottles.
“We are delighted to bring an Italian-style touch to the podium at the Formula 1 Grand Prix around the world with the Ferrari Trento,” said Matteo Lunelli, President and CEO of Ferrari Trento. “Our partnership with Formula 1 is rooted in the values we share: innovation, passion and the pursuit of excellence. The choice of an Italian brand as the festive dish on the world’s most famous podium is, of course, a source of pride.”
Ferrari F1® The Limited Edition Blanc de Blancs cuvée, which sells for $ 35.99, is available in a collection of four versions, each dedicated to one of the circuits, including: Monza, Silverstone, Suzuka and Sochi. “The inspiration for the concept was to celebrate some of the circuits that are most dear to motorsport enthusiasts,” says Lunelli. “The design is dynamic, with a dedicated label and customized gift package for each circuit.” Each bottle will have its own label and customized gift packaging.
The functions of each bottle are dedicated to one of the circuits. The interest in the bottles is particularly great among both sparkling wine fans and Formula 1 fans, especially as the holidays approach.
“These bottles are very special because they celebrate this partnership, which is strategic for us,” says Lunelli. “We decided to present them at FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2021 in Monza, which is both a historical circuit and our ‘home ground’, so to speak.”
Ferrari F1® Limited Edition is a Blanc de Blancs Trentodoc sparkling wine, and it is an expression of that Chardonnay from mountain-side vineyards that the Lunelli Group vineyard is known for. Ripened on its brim for 38 months, it shows great intensity on the nose with notes of ripe fruit as well as hints of crusty bread and hazelnuts. “The cuvée we chose is a perfect expression of our style,” he says, “It is a Trentodoc, a traditional sparkling wine stored in the dark in our cellars and made only with chardonnay grapes grown on the slopes of Trentino. -the mountains. “
Ferrari F1® Limited Edition is a must-have for enthusiasts and collectors who may want to purchase all four versions. “For Formula 1 fans as well as for sparkling wine lovers, it provides a unique experience and brings good things together,” says Lunelli. “It combines the excitement of a Grand Prix with the taste of a world-class traditional Blanc de Blancs method.”
The winery was founded in 1902 in Trento by Giulio Ferrari and has been run by the Lunelli family since 1952. Ferrari is Italy’s leading traditional winery and all Ferrari labels are Trentodoc. “The wine brings people together, like all big bottles of wine do,” he says. “The special cuvee is a thought-provoking gift for a Formula 1 fan and a memorable shared experience among family, friends and fans celebrating together.”
