Go to Miami Beach during spa month

Posted on

As if you needed another reason to go to Miami this year, Spa Month is in full swing until the end of August at Miami Beach. Lots of spas and wellness centers offer deeply discounted packages over the next few weeks. Head south this summer to Miami Beach for a little (or a lot) rest and recovery.

“Now more than ever, we can all use some self-care, and we invite travelers to indulge in tranquil spa treatments to celebrate Miami Spa months,” said Steve Adkins, president of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA). “As a poster child for relaxation and renewal under the sun, Miami Beach is ready to pamper travelers and help them decompress so they can return home refreshed and recharged.” According to the Mayo Clinic, spa treatments such as massage can be beneficial in reducing stress, pain and tension. And after the last 18 months, most of us could use a little stress. And thankfully, Miami Spa Months at Miami Beach gives visitors and locals the opportunity to relax at a discount.

Miami Spa months

So many luxury spas are participating in Miami Spa months this year, but a few to check out are:

Free valet service and access to the saltwater Atlantic Pool on the roof or Cabana Pool by the ocean are also included in the service. Guests can also add a 60-minute traditional Chinese medical consultation + acupuncture treatment for only $ 199, which is regularly $ 490. Guests will receive a 15-minute evaluation and 45-minute acupuncture treatment with gua sha or cupping. Some of the treatment options include:

What else to do in Miami

And after the spa treatments, you can keep the wellness theme by stopping by Planta for brunch, lunch or dinner. Founded by Steven Salm and co-founder and head chef David Lee, Planta is a plant-based restaurant group based in Toronto, Miami, West Palm Beach and New York City. This trendy plant-based eatery is located deep in South Beach and serves some beautifully enticing dishes. And while on South Beach, swing past the Bass Museum of Art to enjoy some modern artwork from local Miami and Cuban artists.

Overnight stay in Miami Spa months

Many hotels are also offering deals and packages this summer as well, but one to check out is the newly opened Moxy South Beach. This new addition to Washington Ave is the funky new kid on the block – who also feels like it’s belonged in this neighborhood for decades. This young, fun hotel chain glides smoothly into the South Beach scene, bringing its distinctive quirk to the area.

Try breakfast burritos in the morning at Los Buenos Tacos, head upstairs to Upside during the day, Serena for dinner and maybe even come to Mezcalista for an intimate mezcal tasting late at night. Moxy has so much to give guests under one roof, and right now guests should take advantage of their “Stay Longer & Save” package, where you will save on any stay 5 nights or more.
