Airstream, Inc., the creator of the iconic “silver bullet” trailer, has just announced a new vehicle that is a partnership with Pottery Barn, a portfolio brand of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (NYSE: WSM). You can credit the pandemic that has driven the current craze for RV travel and the need for social distance when recreating. For a lucky few, they can now do it with some serious creatures. As the advertising tagline for this model testifies, “Feel like you’re always at home.”
The new Airstream Pottery Barn Special Edition Travel Trailer is a 28-foot Airstream trailer with decor and accessories created by Pottery Barn. Airstream has long been known for its clean, functional interior, but with this new trailer, the recognizable and comfort-free Pottery Barn stamp is everywhere. The trailer is adorned with hardware, soft goods, fixtures and details inspired by Pottery Barn’s best-selling collections.

You see it in their home interior, where there is a comfortable, functional beauty for even the smallest spaces. Talk about a marriage of design. This partnership raises it several notches above the traditional trailer life. It appeals to an audience that wants all their convenience at hand, even when on the go. In other words, you can work, recreate and do distance learning from this cozy vehicle. It’s also a nod to Pottery Barn loyalists who have been committed to the brand for years.

The trailer is built on Airstream International 28RB, with a dedicated kitchen and bathroom on board as well as sleeping and lounge areas. Sleeping arrangements are available in two layouts: as a queen or twin beds in the rear bedroom. The trailer can sleep up to four people and its two or queen beds are available with Pottery Barn Belgian Flax Linen Bedding.
Pottery Barn designers worked closely with the Airstream design team to create the new model. There are custom-made, ultra-soft seats inspired by the Pottery Barn’s Big Sur Collection. Window coverings are made with Emery Curtain fabric of oatmeal. Overhead cabinets with beadboard panels were inspired by Pottery Barn’s Aubrey furniture collection.
In the kitchen, the Pottery Barn design features a solid oak dining table, inspired by the Pottery Barn’s Benchwright Dining Collection. There is a matte-black pull-down kitchen faucet, a flat stainless steel apron and a solid walnut cutting board. The aesthetic continues in the built-in bathroom, where a round sink and a matte-black faucet are complemented with wall glass. Under the bed, custom storage solutions give owners Pottery Barn-style options for stowing road trip necessities.
There is an outdoor hanging table attached to the outside of the trailer, creating the perfect bar. There is also an exterior awning and accessory kit that comes with each trailer, which includes a 16-piece Mason Stoneware tableware set, an Indio outdoor folding table and armchair set, and a doormat. In other words, you are at home.
